What Is the Italian Bra Sizing System?
Italian bra sizing is the EU standard: centimetre-based band numbers (65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95…) paired with single-letter cup sizes (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H) — no doubled letters, no DD or DDD. Band is your underbust rounded to the nearest 5 cm. Cup is the difference between overbust and underbust in 2 cm steps. IT 75C = EU 75C = DE 75C. Many international shoppers assume Italian luxury bras use a unique sizing system — a bespoke “Italian standard” derived from couture tailoring. They do not. Signs Your Italian Bra Size Is Wrong
Band size problems
- Band rides up at the back: band too big. Try IT 5 cm down, one cup up (IT 80B → 75C).
- Band digs in or leaves marks: band too small. Try IT 5 cm up, one cup down (IT 75C → 80B).
- Band pulls forward when arms raised: band too loose. Tighten hooks or size down 5 cm.
Cup size problems
- Spillover at top or sides: cup too small. Size up one IT cup letter (IT 80D → 80E).
