How Bra-Calculator.com content is written, checked, corrected and funded.
Who writes our content
Every guide is written or edited by someone with hands-on fitting or garment-industry experience, led by Amelia, our founder and editor, who spent fifteen years buying lingerie for retailers. Hard-to-fit shapes and sizes are covered with Emma Rodriguez, our fit specialist, and the sizing engine is maintained by Michael Chen. Articles carry a named byline that links to the author’s profile. We do not publish anonymous fit advice.
One method, everywhere
Every size, conversion and sister size on this site follows our published calculation methodology: band = snug underbust rounded to the nearest even number (no +4), and one cup step per inch of full bust over the band. Size guides, comparison pages and calculators share one size dataset, so the numbers agree across the site.
How it is sourced
Sizing claims are checked against published brand size charts and current garment-industry standards. Where sources disagree (and on cup grading above a D, they routinely do), we say so in the article rather than picking one silently. Health-related background links to established sources such as the NHS, Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic.
Health content
We are fit educators, not clinicians. Guides that touch on pregnancy, nursing, surgery, gynecomastia, breast changes or pain explain how they affect bra fit only, and point readers to a doctor or specialist fitter for anything medical. Pain, a new lump, marked asymmetry, post-surgical fitting and lymphoedema garments need professional care, not a web tool.
Review and updates
Size charts and conversion tables are re-checked against brand data on a rolling schedule. Pages show when they were last updated, not just when they were first published.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix the page and note what changed. Found an error or an out-of-date chart? Tell us and we will check it.
