Background and Experience
From spreadsheet to tool
Amelia’s first version was a spreadsheet for explaining sister sizes. Michael turned it into a calculator anyone could use without understanding the formula.
Why conversion is hard
Bra sizing systems diverge above a D cup, and they diverge differently: UK sizing doubles some letters, EU and French bands are in centimetres, and Japanese and Korean labels follow their own steps. Michael’s conversion logic maps a result across all of them rather than assuming a straight letter swap.
Role at Bra-Calculator.com
- Builds the bra size calculator and its conversion engine
- Maintains the calculation methodology and the open size dataset
- Keeps the international size charts consistent across the site
How We Work
Every size result on the site follows one published calculation methodology: the band is the snug underbust rounded to the nearest even number, with no inches added, and each cup letter is one inch of full bust over the band. Every guide follows our editorial policy. We do not accept payment for recommendations, and we correct errors when readers report them.
