Spain Bra Size Calculator & Converter
Calculate your Spanish bra size in centimetres (EU standard — 75, 80, 85, 90…), and convert instantly to UK, US, AU & FR — with sister sizes and Selmark, Women’Secret, Lace Senso, Triumph ES & El Corte Inglés fit notes.
How to measure correctly
- Wear a non-padded bra or no bra for accurate readings.
- Underbust: wrap tape snugly around your ribcage directly under the bust. Keep tape parallel to floor. Exhale and measure in centimetres.
- Overbust: measure around the fullest part of your bust. Tape should be loose enough to slide a finger underneath.
- Stand naturally — don’t lift arms or lean forward. Both measurements in the same posture.
- Round to the nearest 0.5 cm for best accuracy.

Measure in centimetres — Spanish sizing uses the EU standard directly, same as Italy and Germany
What Is the Spanish Bra Sizing System?
Spanish bra sizing is the EU standard: centimetre-based band numbers (65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95…) paired with single-letter cup sizes (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H) — no doubled letters, no DD or DDD. Band is your underbust rounded to the nearest 5 cm. Cup is the difference between overbust and underbust in 2 cm steps. ES 75C = EU 75C = IT 75C = DE 75C. Spanish brands Selmark, Women’Secret, Lace Senso, and Triumph ES all use this system. French brands (Chantelle, Simone Pérèle) sold in Spain use FR numbering — FR 90 ≠ ES 90.
Spain is home to a thriving domestic lingerie industry. Selmark, founded in 1973 in Valencia, is one of Europe’s leading lingerie manufacturers and exports to over 60 countries. Women’Secret — a subsidiary of Cortefiel Group — operates over 700 stores across 62 countries and is among Europe’s most recognisable high-street lingerie brands. Both follow the EU centimetre standard, making Spanish sizing among the most straightforward in Europe.
El Corte Inglés, Spain’s dominant department store chain, sells both Spanish-brand EU sizing and international-brand FR sizing side by side. This is the primary source of sizing confusion in the Spanish market — a shopper who knows her Selmark ES 75E size and attempts to order a Chantelle “75” online will receive a bra with a 53–57 cm underbust band, which is far too small. The Chantelle equivalent of ES 75 is FR 90.
Spain’s lingerie market is also notable for its strong plus-size and extended cup offering through Selmark — their range extends to ES 110 in the band and H cup, making them one of the most inclusive mainstream European lingerie manufacturers. For cup sizes above G (UK F equivalent), Spanish shoppers have access to better domestic options than most EU markets.
Spanish/EU bands are underbust cm rounded to nearest 5 — no offset, identical to Italy and Germany.
Spanish/EU cups — single letters only, no DD. ES E = UK DD = US DD.
- Spanish sizing IS the EU standard — ES 75C = EU 75C = IT 75C = DE 75C. No conversion needed between them
- ES 75 = UK 34 = US 34 = AU 12 = IT 75 = DE 75 — all the same underbust (68–72 cm)
- ES E cup = UK DD = US DD — one letter ahead of UK/AU above D (same as EU/IT/DE)
- French brands (Chantelle, Simone Pérèle) sold in Spain use FR numbering (+15) — Chantelle FR 90 ≠ Selmark ES 90
- Selmark stocks through ES/EU H cup — one of Europe’s best domestic extended-cup ranges
How to Measure Your Spanish Bra Size
Spanish sizing is centimetre-based with no offsets. You need your underbust and overbust in centimetres.
Prepare correctly
Wear a non-padded bra or no bra. Stand naturally with arms relaxed. Selmark’s in-store fitting guides recommend measuring without a bra for maximum accuracy. El Corte Inglés lingerie fitting rooms follow the same protocol.
Measure your underbust in centimetres
Wrap the tape snugly around your ribcage directly beneath your bust. Keep it parallel to the floor. Exhale fully and record to the nearest 0.5 cm. Your Spanish band size is your underbust rounded to the nearest 5 cm: 74 cm → ES 75, 78 cm → ES 80.
Measure your overbust in centimetres
Measure around the fullest point of your bust. Keep the tape horizontal and loose enough to slide one finger underneath. Record to the nearest 0.5 cm.
Calculate your ES band
Round underbust to nearest 5 cm: 63–67 cm = ES 65, 68–72 cm = ES 70, 73–77 cm = ES 75, 78–82 cm = ES 80, 83–87 cm = ES 85, 88–92 cm = ES 90, 93–97 cm = ES 95. If exactly on a boundary, try the smaller band first.
Calculate your ES cup letter
Subtract underbust from overbust in cm, using 2 cm intervals: 10–11 cm = A, 12–13 cm = B, 14–15 cm = C, 16–17 cm = D, 18–19 cm = E, 20–21 cm = F, 22–23 cm = G, 24–25 cm = H. ES E equals UK DD — not UK E.
El Corte Inglés department stores offer free professional bra fittings in their lingerie departments across Spain. Their fittings follow the EU standard and are particularly accurate for Selmark, Women’Secret, and Triumph ES products. If you are shopping in Spain in person, take advantage of these free fittings — they are available without appointment in most major stores and are considered among the best complimentary fitting services in European retail.

Spanish Cup to UK, US, AU Conversion
ES cups are identical to EU, Italian, and German cups. Above D cup, ES letters run one step ahead of UK/AU — ES E = UK DD (not UK E).
| ES / EU / IT / DE Cup | UK / AU / IN Cup | US Cup | FR Cup (= ES) | Overbust − Underbust (cm) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| AA | AA | AA | AA | 8–9 cm |
| A | A | A | A | 10–11 cm |
| B | B | B | B | 12–13 cm |
| C | C | C | C | 14–15 cm |
| D | D | D | D | 16–17 cm |
| E | DD | DD | E | 18–19 cm |
| F | E | DDD | F | 20–21 cm |
| G | F | DDDD/G | G | 22–23 cm |
| H | FF | G/H | H | 24–25 cm |
| I | G | H/I | I | 26–27 cm |
| J | GG | I/J | J | 28–29 cm |
A common error for Spanish shoppers buying UK brands: ES E cup and UK E cup are not the same size. ES E equals UK DD — not UK E. A shopper who wears Selmark ES 80E and orders Bravissimo UK 36E will receive a bra one full cup size too large. The correct Bravissimo order for ES 80E is UK 36DD. This one-letter shift above D is the single most important ES-to-UK cup conversion rule.
What Are Sister Sizes in Spanish Bras?
Sister sizes in the ES/EU system work identically to Italy and Germany — bands step in 5 cm, cups shift by one letter.
| ES Size | IT / DE Equiv. | Band Feel | Cup Volume |
|---|---|---|---|
| ES 75D | IT 75D / DE 75D | Tighter | Same as ES 80C |
| ES 80C | IT 80C / DE 80C | Standard | Your primary size |
| ES 85B | IT 85B / DE 85B | Looser | Same as ES 80C |

Spain’s lingerie brands range from precision-fit Selmark to high-street Women’Secret and El Corte Inglés multi-brand fitting
Spanish Bra Brand Sizing Differences
All Spanish brands use ES/EU sizing — no offsets — but coverage, price point, and construction vary significantly.
Selmark ES
Founded in Valencia in 1973. Spain’s largest domestic lingerie manufacturer and one of Europe’s most-exported bra brands. Selmark’s sizing follows the EU standard precisely and their range extends to ES 110 in the band and H cup — exceptional coverage by any standard. Reference brand for accurate ES sizing.
Fit: True to ES/EU size. Selmark is Spain’s equivalent of Triumph Germany — the calibration brand when testing other ES labels. Bands are firm; cups grade accurately through the extended range.
Women’Secret ES
High-street lingerie brand operated by Tendam Group (formerly Cortefiel). Over 700 stores in 62 countries. Uses ES/EU sizing throughout. Stocks ES 70–95 and cups A–E in most stores. Bands run slightly roomy; cups run true in wired styles, slightly generous in push-up styles.
Fit: Bands run slightly roomy — size down one ES band if between sizes. Push-up and heavily padded styles run one cup generous. Wire styles are true to ES/EU standard. Limited above E cup in most stores.
Lace Senso ES
Spanish premium lingerie brand focused on lace and embroidered styles. Uses ES/EU sizing. Stocks ES 70–95 and cups A–F. Construction quality is mid-to-premium, with narrower wire widths suited to average-to-close breast spacing. Cups grade true to EU standard.
Fit: True to ES size. Narrow wire width — if you have wide-set or full-root breasts, the underwire may sit on breast tissue. In that case, size up one cup and check wire width before purchasing.
Triumph Spain ES
German brand’s Spanish market presence. Uses ES/EU sizing in Spain — same as their DE labelling. Triumph ES 75C = Triumph DE 75C = EU 75C exactly. Stocks ES 65–105, cups A–H. Best Spanish market option for ES F cup and above where domestic brands’ ranges end.
Fit: True to ES/EU size. Triumph Spain is the most accessible option for ES F–H cup in Spain — their extended range covers what Women’Secret and Lace Senso do not stock.
El Corte Inglés (multi-brand)
Spain’s dominant department store sells both ES/EU-labelled Spanish brands (Selmark, Women’Secret) and FR-labelled French brands (Chantelle, Simone Pérèle) and UK-labelled brands (Triumph UK range online). Three sizing systems in one store. Always check the brand-specific size guide before purchasing.
Fit tip: In El Corte Inglés, Selmark = ES/EU numbering; Chantelle = FR numbering (+15); Triumph = ES/EU numbering. Chantelle FR 90 and Selmark ES 75 are the same band — but the label numbers differ by 15. Confirm system on the product’s own size chart.
Chantelle FR (in Spain)
French brand sold in Spanish El Corte Inglés using FR numbering (+15 band offset). Chantelle FR 90 sold in Spain has the same underbust as Selmark ES 75. Subtract 15 from any Chantelle band to get the ES/EU equivalent. Cup letters are identical — Chantelle FR E = Selmark ES E = UK DD.
Conversion: Chantelle FR band → subtract 15 = ES equivalent. FR 90 → ES 75. FR 95 → ES 80. Cup letters identical — FR E = ES E = UK DD.
Bravissimo UK (from Spain)
UK D+ specialist. Ships internationally to Spain. UK band: ES 75 = UK 34, ES 80 = UK 36. Cup: ES E = UK DD, ES F = UK E, ES G = UK F. Drop one cup letter when converting from ES to UK above D. Best option for ES E cup and above where Spanish retail availability thins out.
Conversion: ES 80F → UK 36E at Bravissimo. Keep band equivalent, drop one cup letter above D. Bravissimo’s D+ range covers what most Spanish lingerie retailers stop stocking above E cup.
Victoria’s Secret US (buying from Spain)
Available online in Spain using US sizing. Band: ES 75 = US 34, ES 80 = US 36. Cup: ES A–D = US A–D. Above D: ES E = US DD, ES F = US DDD, ES G = US DDDD. VS does not stock above US DDD (= ES F), limiting options for ES G+ cup shoppers.
Conversion: ES 75E → US 34DD. ES 80F → US 36DDD. US bands run slightly small — size up one US band if borderline.
Signs Your Spanish Bra Size Is Wrong
Band size problems
- Band rides up at the back: band too big. Try ES 5 cm down, one cup up (ES 80B → 75C).
- Band digs in or leaves marks: band too small. Try ES 5 cm up, one cup down (ES 75C → 80B).
- Band pulls forward when arms raised: band too loose. Tighten hooks or size down 5 cm.
Cup size problems
- Spillover at top or sides: cup too small. Size up one ES cup (ES 80D → 80E).
- Gaping or wrinkling: cup too big. Size down one (ES 80D → 80C).
- Underwire on breast tissue: cup too small. Size up immediately.
- Centre gore not flat against sternum: cup too small or wire too wide for your breast spacing.
The most common error for Spanish shoppers is the Chantelle trap at El Corte Inglés — seeing Chantelle FR 90 and assuming it equals Selmark ES 90. It does not. Chantelle FR 90 corresponds to a 68–72 cm underbust (ES 75). Selmark ES 90 corresponds to an 83–87 cm underbust. The two bras differ by three band sizes. The band number alone does not tell you which sizing system a brand uses — always confirm on the product’s individual size chart before purchasing from a multi-brand retailer.
Shopping International Brands as a Spanish Shopper
Buying from Italian retailers (Intimissimi, La Perla)
ES and IT sizing are identical. ES 75E = IT 75E. No conversion needed — same band number, same cup letter. Shop from Intimissimi.com or La Perla in your exact ES size with no adjustment.
Buying from French retailers (Chantelle, Simone Pérèle)
FR band = ES band + 15: ES 75 → FR 90. ES 80 → FR 95. Cup letters are identical — ES E = FR E. So ES 75E = FR 90E at Chantelle. Add 15 to your ES band and keep the same cup letter.
Buying from UK retailers (Bravissimo, ASOS UK)
ES band to UK band: ES 70 = UK 32, ES 75 = UK 34, ES 80 = UK 36, ES 85 = UK 38. Cup through D: identical. Above D: ES E = UK DD, ES F = UK E, ES G = UK F, ES H = UK FF. So ES 80F = UK 36E. Drop one cup letter above D.
Buying from US retailers (Victoria’s Secret)
ES band to US band: ES 75 = US 34, ES 80 = US 36. Cup: ES A–D = US A–D. Above D: ES E = US DD, ES F = US DDD. So ES 75E = US 34DD. US bands run small — size up one if borderline.
When shopping on ASOS.es or Zalando.es, check whether each brand uses ES/EU or FR sizing. Spanish and German brands (Selmark, Women’Secret, Triumph) use ES/EU numbering. French brands (Chantelle, Aubade, Simone Pérèle) use FR numbering (+15). UK brands (Freya, Panache) use UK inch bands. The platform-level size filter may return all three systems together. Always confirm on the brand’s product page size guide before adding to cart.

Frequently Asked Questions
Spanish bra sizing is the EU standard: centimetre-based band numbers (65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95) and single-letter cup sizes (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H) with no doubled letters. Band is your underbust cm rounded to the nearest 5. Cup is overbust minus underbust in 2 cm steps: 10–11 cm = A, 16–17 cm = D, 18–19 cm = E. Selmark, Women’Secret, Lace Senso, Triumph ES, and El Corte Inglés all use this system. There is no +15 offset — Spanish band numbers directly reflect the underbust measurement.
Yes — completely identical. ES 75C = IT 75C = DE 75C = EU 75C. Spanish, Italian, German, Dutch, Austrian, Belgian, and Scandinavian brands all use the same EU standard band numbers and cup letters. Shopping from any of these countries in your Spanish size requires no conversion whatsoever.
Spanish cup E equals UK cup DD and US cup DD. The ES and EU cup systems run one letter ahead of UK and AU above D cup. ES E (18–19 cm) corresponds to UK DD. ES F equals UK E. Spanish shoppers buying from Bravissimo or Panache should drop one cup letter: ES 75E becomes UK 34DD, not 34E.
No. Chantelle uses French sizing in Spain — the FR numbering with the +15 band offset. A Chantelle bra sold in El Corte Inglés labelled FR 90E has a 68–72 cm underbust — the same as Selmark ES 75E. To find your Chantelle size from your Spanish size: add 15 to your ES band. ES 75 → FR 90. ES 80 → FR 95. Cup letters are identical — ES E = FR E = UK DD.
ES band to UK band: ES 70 = UK 32, ES 75 = UK 34, ES 80 = UK 36, ES 85 = UK 38. Cups through D: ES A = UK A, ES D = UK D — identical. Above D: ES E = UK DD, ES F = UK E, ES G = UK F, ES H = UK FF, ES I = UK G. So ES 80F = UK 36E. Drop one cup letter when converting from ES to UK above D.
Sister sizes in the ES system step in 5 cm for the band and one letter for the cup. From ES 80C, the sister sizes are ES 75D (tighter band, same cup volume) and ES 85B (looser band, same cup volume). Identical to IT 80C, IT 75D, IT 85B and DE equivalents. Useful when shopping Selmark or Women’Secret online during Spanish sales (rebajas).
Measure underbust snugly in cm and round to nearest 5: 68–72 cm = ES 70, 73–77 cm = ES 75, 78–82 cm = ES 80. Measure overbust loosely. Subtract: 10–11 cm = A, 12–13 cm = B, 14–15 cm = C, 16–17 cm = D, 18–19 cm = E, 20–21 cm = F. Selmark recommends measuring without any bra. Our Spain calculator accepts centimetres directly.
Every six months at minimum, or after weight changes, pregnancy, or breastfeeding. El Corte Inglés lingerie specialists recommend annual professional fittings. Most Spanish women who have not measured in over a year will find their size has shifted by at least one band or cup step — consistent with Triumph Germany’s research showing 72% size change after two years.
Spanish bands step in 5 cm. If your underbust is exactly 77 cm — the boundary between ES 75 and ES 80 — try ES 75 first. Spanish brands use elastane blends that relax with wear. If still tight after a week of regular wear, try ES 80.
Selmark stocks through ES/EU H cup in bands up to ES 110 — one of the widest accessible ranges in European domestic retail. Triumph Spain stocks through H cup in selected styles. Women’Secret and Lace Senso typically extend to E or F cup. For G cup and above, Selmark is the best Spanish domestic option, and UK specialists like Bravissimo ship internationally to Spain for even larger sizes.
Add 15 to your ES band: ES 75 → FR 90, ES 80 → FR 95, ES 85 → FR 100. Cup letters are identical — ES E = FR E. So Selmark ES 75E becomes Chantelle FR 90E. The most useful conversion for Spanish shoppers buying French brands at El Corte Inglés or online.
Yes. Portugal, Greece, and all other EU countries follow the same EU standard — identical band numbers and cup letters to Spain. PT 75C = ES 75C = GR 75C = EU 75C. The only variation encountered across Southern Europe is when French brands use FR numbering (+15 offset) instead of EU numbering — the same Chantelle issue encountered in Spanish stores.
El Corte Inglés sells both Spanish/EU-numbered brands (Selmark, Women’Secret, Triumph ES) and French-numbered brands (Chantelle, Simone Pérèle) in the same lingerie department. Selmark ES 75 and Chantelle FR 90 are both displayed — they are the same underbust measurement, but labelled 15 numbers apart. The size filters on their website typically show EU numbers, but individual product pages display whichever system the brand uses. Always check the brand-specific size guide on the product page before purchasing.
